These include work at Hemby Children's hospital and the creation of a fun musical jam class with her husband John for Oakhaven residential care home for adolescents.
She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the State University of New York in applied clarinet and music therapy. Following graduation, she worked as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin School of Music where she taught music appreciation. Later, becoming a licensed Kindermusik educator, she became director of Queens College Kindermusik, the oldest program in the Charlotte area and begun by the current director of education at Kindermusik International.
She and her husband John created "music.4.life" in the Fall of 2009 with colleagues and friends they have known many years.
